Movik Fort is a historic German-built coastal fortification located in Nordland, Norway, overlooking the Skagerrak Straits. Constructed during World War II, the fort once housed the second-largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm gun with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes. The site formed part of the Atlantic Wall defenses and played a strategic role in controlling maritime access between Norway and Denmark. Today, the fort is closed to the public due to safety concerns, but it remains a significant example of wartime military engineering in Norway.
