Fort Mac Arthur Military Museum is located on the former Upper Reservation of Fort Mac Arthur in San Pedro, Los Angeles, California. From 1916 to 1945, this site served as an operational post for harbor defense against enemy attacks from the sea. The installation housed four batteries, each secured under 12 feet of concrete with walls ranging from 16 to 30 feet thick. Today, the museum preserves and displays the military history of Fort Mac Arthur and the Los Angeles harbor defenses, showcasing the strategic importance of this coastal fortification during its active years.
