A former United States government continuity facility located beneath the Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Known as Project Greek Island, the bunker was designed to house the United States Congress in the event of a nuclear attack during the Cold War. The facility remained secret for over three decades until its existence was revealed by The Washington Post in 1992, after which it was decommissioned.
