A military bunker located near Soratte, Italy, built in the 1960s as a fallout shelter for the Italian government and NATO technicians during the Cold War. The bunker was designed to house 50 government members and 50 NATO personnel in the event of a nuclear attack on Rome. Its construction began in the 1960s, and it was intended to provide a secure location for the government and military leaders to coordinate responses to a nuclear crisis.
