Bunkerinfo
The first 4 bunkers built in the Toorenvlied park were thin-walled crew quarters. When the bombings only increased a year later, they were replaced by bomb-proof bunkers of the type 622. A total of 5 of these bunkers were built, 2 of which were demolished in the 1960s after a fire in the adjacent villa. Most bunkers in Toorenvlied had the appearance of a peaceful farm and were equipped with a pointed roof and painted windows and doors. Various remains of this can still be found on the bunkers.
