Description

The Blockhaus d'Éperlecques is a massive concrete bunker located near Watten in northern France. Built during World War II by Nazi Germany, it was intended to serve as a launch facility for V-2 rockets targeting England. The site was selected in late 1942 as part of Operation Crossbow, Germany's plan to develop long-range weapons. Construction began in March 1943 but was halted in July 1943 after Allied bombing raids severely damaged the structure.
