The Savoy Bunker at Villa Ada, located in Rome, Italy, is a wartime air-raid shelter designed exclusively for Italy's former royal family, the Savoia. Constructed between November 1940 and June 1943, this bunker was built to protect the royal family in the event of bombing during World War II. The structure is entirely underground, spanning over 200 square meters, and features a circular plan with seven rooms, including two main rooms, two bathrooms, an antechamber, and two service rooms. After a closure of five years, the bunker has reopened to the public for guided tours, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the wartime preparations of the Italian monarchy.
