Tito's Bunker, officially known as ARK D-0, is a massive underground military complex located near Konjic in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Constructed between 1953 and 1979 during the Cold War era, this secret facility was designed to serve as a nuclear shelter and command center for Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito and the country's political and military leadership in the event of a nuclear conflict. The bunker extends over 6,500 square meters and was built to withstand direct nuclear strikes, featuring reinforced concrete walls up to 2.5 meters thick. Today, the site has been transformed into a contemporary art museum and historical exhibition space, offering visitors a unique glimpse into Yugoslavia's Cold War military preparedness and the paranoid atmosphere of the nuclear age.
