At Rushof cemetery in Amersfoort there are about 400 people buried who died during the First and Second World War. These persons come from 15 different countries. 150 of these persons are Dutch who died in Kamp Amersfoort, mainly in this area.

The Zeeburger Island is an artificial island dating from the beginning of the 20th century. The water airport was built around 1915 and consisted of only 1 pilot which was half on the water and half on the mainland, here was only room for about 2 aircraft
