A Richtplattform is a German military observation and fire-direction platform, typically constructed during World War II as part of coastal defense systems. Located in northern France, this structure would have been used to coordinate artillery fire and monitor maritime activity along the Atlantic coast. Such platforms were integral components of the Atlantic Wall fortifications built by Nazi Germany to defend against Allied invasion.
