Bunkerinfo
One of the most beautiful bunkers in the Toorenvlied park in Middelburg is undoubtedly Regelbau 618 (Nachrichtenstand für höhere Stäbe). There were once 6 of this type of bunkers in the Netherlands, but this is probably the only surviving example. The bunker contained radio and telephone equipment that made it possible to contact command posts elsewhere in Europe. Nowadays the bunker is managed by the Bunker Conservation Foundation, which is busy renovating and opening up the bunkers in Zeeland.
