Description

A military bunker located near Movik, Norway, situated in a commanding position above the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark. This site was originally constructed during World War II by German forces and once housed the second largest cannon in the world - a Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers. The fort represents Norway's complex military history spanning from WWII through the Cold War period, when the country built many defensive structures due to its proximity to the USSR.
