Description

A former United States government continuity facility located near White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The bunker was part of Project Greek Island, a secret Cold War-era program designed to house the United States Congress in the event of a nuclear attack. Construction was completed in 1962, and the facility remained classified until its exposure by The Washington Post in 1992.
