Description

A former top-secret Soviet nuclear shelter located near Līgatne, Latvia. Built 9 meters underground beneath the Līgatne Rehabilitation Centre, this bunker was constructed during the Cold War to serve as a secure refuge for Latvia's Communist Party leadership in the event of a nuclear conflict. The facility was so secret that for 30 years, even the staff and patients at the adjacent rehabilitation center were unaware of its existence.
