Movik Fort is a historic German coastal fortification located near the Skagerrak Straits in southern Norway. Originally constructed during World War II by German forces, the fort once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes. The site sits in a commanding position overlooking the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark, reflecting its importance in German defensive planning during the occupation. Today, the fort represents a significant piece of Norway's military heritage from both the WWII and Cold War periods.
